Katie Stock

Katie Stock is a journalist and leads a church in south east London.

Before moving into journalism Katie worked as a copywriter for a large international NGO. She studied for her masters in Theology, Politics and Faith-based organisations at King’s College, London particularly focussing on the theology of Bonheoffer and Polycarp. Along with her in-depth theological study, Katie brings a broad knowledge of ecumenism from her theology undergraduate degree from the Jesuit run Heythrop College, University of London.

At Premier Christianity magazine, Katie has interviewed church leaders such as Rose Hudson-Wilkin, and theologians including, Stanley Hauerwas. She’s written major stories on a range of issues, including the trend of Persian refugees converting to Christianityhow US evangelicals put Trump in the White House and female leadership in the UK.

Katie has an award winning blog, theologybee.com, where she writes about the messiness of where life and faith meet. She also speaks at churches and encourages them to embrace honesty about the difficulties they face.

When she’s not writing, Katie plays netball and dances around the kitchen to Steely Dan. She lives with her husband and their two daughters.
