Here’s what the Premier Christianity team are enjoying this month

Downtime-Feb-23

The Last Laugh - Steve Legg

You will laugh. You will cry. Evangelist, speaker and comedian Steve Legg’s “reflections of a funnyman with terminal cancer” is a memoir of “getting busy while dying”. Heartbreaking and inspiring all at once.

The Traitors - BBC iPlayer

It might be based on lies, deceit and backstabbing, but at the end of the day it is a game – and probably the most gripping one ever seen on TV. One of the contestants is a Christian. Will she remain faithful? Time will tell…watch now on BBC iPlayer.

My God is Mighty - Mal Pope

Christian singer-songwriter Mal Pope is planning a huge concert at Swansea Arena in October to mark the 50th anniversary of signing to Elton John’s Rocket Records. For now, he’s releasing a song a month, beginning with ‘My God is mighty’, a gospel-infused number featuring multiple Grammy award nominee Zeke Listenbee. malpope.com

4 Corners Festival

If you’re within striking distance of Belfast, be sure to check out the 4 Corners Festival. There are talks, music and workshops, as well as an appearance by the screenwriters behind BBC police drama Blue Lights. The festival bills itself as “a manifestation of the gospel’s teachings in action”, using stories to bring hope to a divided world. 4cornersfestival.com
