Jasmine Mitchell is taking home the iconic Great British Bake Off cake stand after wowing judges in this week’s final with a 1.2-metre-tall masterpiece - the largest cake in the show’s history.
But the 23-year-old medical student doesn’t think her baking prowess was the only reason she triumphed - it was also the strength she found in God.
In the pressure-cooker of the tent, she told interviewers that prayer and reliance on Jesus were her anchors.
