Unspoken - Unspoken
Centricity

Unspoken are a multi-national band with Chad Mattson (lead singer), Jon Lowry (bass) both from the USA, Mike Gomez (electric guitar) from the Dominican Republic, and Ariel Munoz (drums) from Puerto Rico.

The group grew from a seed planted when Mattson went to the Dominican Republic on a missionary trip and began playing and song-writing with Gomez; later Lowry and Munoz joined and the band’s sound was complete.

Their first self-titled album includes their two top-five USA radio hits ‘Who You Are’ and ‘Lift My Life Up’, though for me the strongest track is ‘Start A Fire’. It’s an incredibly professional album in every area, from the production and arrangements to the instrumentation, the excellent vocals and the songs themselves.

It’s not hugely original but everything is so well done it’s a pleasure to listen to. If you’re a fan of contemporary Christian music, you’ll like this and will soon find the songs going round in your head
