Tony Palmer dies in motorcycle accident
Tributes have been paid to Tony Palmer, a bishop with the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches, who died on 20th July following a motorcycle accident. In January, Bishop Palmer was recently involved in bringing Pope Francis
together with Pentecostals, including Kenneth Copeland.
No more churches for Sudan
The Sudanese government has confirmed that it will not issue permits for new churches to be built in the country on the grounds that its small Christian community does not need them. Campaigners say it is harassing Christians and demolishing churches without notice.
Carlisle Cathedral dons ribbon
Carlisle Cathedral was wrapped in a giant red ribbon to mark National Transplant Week (8th to 14th July), supported by the fleshandblood campaign, which urges Christians to see blood and organ donation as part of their giving.
