Given this album’s title and artwork, I had resigned myself to reviewing another youth-orientated generic rock album filled with Hillsong-esque guitar anthems. Instead I found an intimate recording of 12 songs written and performed by three different Vineyard worship leaders, with a variety of slow and more uptempo tracks.

Lyrically, there is a focus on the cross and the sacrifice of Jesus, which gives the album coherence and purpose. Standout tracks would be ‘On the Wooden Cross’ and ‘Move in our Lives’. This is a refreshing album for anyone bored with the current church music scene and in need of something authentic. HIGH: The inlay gives all the lyrics with guitar chords above for easy learning.

LOW: Contains a few weaker tracks that could do with more finishing.
