Illia Djadi works for Open Doors International as senior analyst for freedom of religion and belief in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is a writer, journalist and researcher who has been covering news and human rights issues in Africa for more than two decades, including for the BBC World Service in London. He graduated from the University of Niamey (Niger), and holds a master’s degree from Portsmouth University which focused on the history, politics and international relations of Francophone countries in Africa.
