A new comedic play which commemorates the 500th anniversary of the Reformation is to be performed at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. A Monk’s Tale aims to help audiences understand Martin Luther’s 95 Theses and has been described by The Times as “hugely entertaining”. The brainchild of BBC sitcom writer James Carey is said to be a cross between Monty Python and Horrible Histories and will embark on a lengthy UK tour later this year.
