Written by Tony Jordan, who wrote the script for Nativity and Hustle, it focuses on the human aspects of the Noah story. It raises challenging questions about family loyalty, self-doubt, and what it means to live as a person of faith in a world of unbelievers.
Its stars include David Threlfall (Shameless; Master and Commander) as Noah and Joanne Whalley (Wolf Hall; Scandal) as his wife.
Commenting on his role, Threlfall says: ‘The story jumped off the page at me from the first reading. It’s not just a family saga, but the first family saga. It takes its inspiration from many faiths and speaks of values which should be shared across all cultures. It was something I immediately wanted to be part of.’
