Editorial

Can I write for Premier Christianity?

Whether you are a pastor passionate about a new trend, an expert in your field shedding light on issues affecting the Church, or simply a Christian with an interesting personal story, we want to hear from you.

We commission a range of articles, including topical long-read features that delve into the complex world of faith and ethics, shorter online opinion pieces responding to the daily news agenda, historical accounts of Christian figures, cultural commentary on the latest films, TV shows and books, plus much more besides.

If you have a way with words and a desire to explore our world through the lens of faith, then please get in touch:

  • Submit ideas for longer print articles to the editor, sam.hailes@premier.org.uk. Pitches should take the form of an outline of 200-300 words, sketching out what you would like to say and who you would speak to.
  • Ideas for online opinion pieces should be sent to emma.fowle@premier.org.uk. We are especially interested in pitches related to topics which are prominent in the day’s mainstream or Christian news.

Please note that while we do try and make every effort to respond to emails, if you have not heard from us within six weeks of submitting your idea, please assume we do not want to publish it. It is not possible to give feedback on unsuccessful submissions.

Will you review my book?

We tend to only review books which have been published within the past six months and we rarely review books written for an academic audience or titles which have been self published.

If you would like to submit a book for review please send a PDF version to christianity@premier.org.uk and put ‘Book review’ in the subject line.

While we do seriously consider everything we receive, we cannot offer direct feedback on your product or return it to you if it’s not reviewed.

We receive far more material than we have space to review in the magazine so cannot offer a guarantee that we will review your product.

Questions about us

Which part of the Church does Premier Christianity represent?

Premier Christianity exists to support, resource and encourage all Christians no matter what church, denomination or stream they do or do not belong to. We are affiliate members of the Evangelical Alliance (eauk.org) and adhere to their basis of faith.

What is your editorial position on contentious issues?

Premier Christianity seeks to reflect and report on the activity of all parts of the church in the UK. Our editorial approach emphasises the beliefs and values that Christians generally hold in common. We cover stories from many and various churches, ministries, denominations and movements.

We publish a wide range of articles from a variety of authors, meaning you’re likely to read opinions you disagree with from time to time. This is because we recognsie that good Christians will hold different perspectives on political, ethical and theological issues. We want Premier Christianity to be a space where all Christians can converse and listen to one another. We don’t expect readers to agree with every opinion expressed in print or online, but we do hope to provide an environment where every Christian can learn why others might hold contrary positions.
