Justin Bieber says he is trying to be more like Jesus in marriage
The Canadian pop star says Jesus is teaching him how to be patient, kind and selfless in his new marriage.
He wrote on Instagram on Friday that: "Relationships are hard and love isn’t always easy but thank you Jesus for showing me how!".
There was speculation about whether he and model Hailey Baldwin had visited a registry office and were married or not. However, Bieber confirmed that they were on 15th November with a picture of the two of them, captioned: "My wife is awesome".
After their first Thanksgiving as a married couple he wrote: "Happy late thanksgiving to everyone. First thanksgiving as a married man, first time hosting thanksgiving. First time both sides of the family has come together. Relationships are hard and love isn’t always easy but thank you Jesus for showing me how! Every day is a learning process, trying to be more like him, patient, kind, selfless, boy I got a long way! But gods [sic] grace is sufficient !"
Hailey, who grew up as an evangelical Christian, has now changed her surname on Instagram to Bieber.
Justin Bieber, 24, was baptised at Hillsong Church in New York by preacher Carl Lentz in 2014 after a turbulent teenage life in the spotlight, accused of reckless driving in 2014 but also achieving no.1 in seven countries with his song 'Baby'.
