Justin Welby looking for inter faith adviser

The Archbishop of Canterbury is on the search for a new inter faith adviser.

According to the job post, the ideal candidate must have knowledge of at least one of the major world religions other than Christianity.

The person must also have an understanding of the range of approaches taken within the Church to people of other faiths.

A major part of the role is building relationships with other faith communities and the job requires work in relations to the national work of the Church of England as well as in relation to Archbishop Justin.

In March, Archbishop Justin met Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and spoke of the importance of inter faith relations.

In a statement following the meeting, Lambeth Palace said the Crown Prince made a strong commitment to promote the flourishing of those of different faith traditions, and to interfaith dialogue within the Kingdom and beyond.
