Christian drugs charity investigated by Charity Commission

A Christian charity working with drug addicts in Birmingham is to be investigated by the Charity Commission.

Concerns have been raised about misconduct or mismanagement with regards to the administration of Livingstone House Mother of the Harvest Ministries.

The Charity Commission initially took action after accounts were failed to be filed on time.

It says it also has concerns over the charity's governance with just two trustees being recorded since January 2016 falling below the required three.

The Commission will publish a report once all issues have been investigated.

Premier has contacted the Livingstone House Mother of the Harvest Ministries and is waiting for a response.
