Kim Burrell was preaching in December at Love & Liberty Fellowship Church in Houston, where she pastors. She said gay people have a “perverted homosexual spirit” and are filled with “delusion and confusion”.
The homosexual spirit has “deceived many men and women, and it’s caused us pain on the body of Christ”, she said.
After receiving heavy criticism, Burrell posted a video on Facebook defending her comments, stating they were for the church rather than the wider public.
Burrell said she makes “no excuses or apologies”.
“I know that people are going to be mad….But God hates the sin in you and me, anything that is against the nature of God.”
